John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres will not hold classes Monday following Sunday’s deadly plane crash in the area. Other School District of Palm Beach County schools are scheduled to open.
A Learjet 60 went down in a residential area near Cresthaven at about 12:50 p.m. Sunday. It had departed Austin, Texas, for the Bahamas. Officials said all nine people aboard died.
The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration. Heavy rain forecast into Monday morning could slow car lines and delay buses.
