According to WPTV, Palm Beach County Engineering and Public Works plans to add a crosswalk on Haverhill Road near Greenacres Elementary School after a pedestrian safety study found one is needed.
The county is still deciding between two possible locations: Haverhill and Carver, or Haverhill and 4th. WPTV reported that the design will be submitted to the City of Greenacres once the location is finalized.
WPTV also reported that a crossing guard will be placed at the crosswalk after installation, and that the city said it will allocate for the crossing guard or guards. The crosswalk is expected to be completed early next year.
