Declan P. Murphy, 27, of Pompano Beach, will serve two years of probation after pleading guilty to a lesser charge in a Palm Beach County motor vehicle grand theft case. Judge Sarah Willis withheld adjudication.
The sentence includes 23 days in county jail, credited as time served, a six-month driver’s license revocation and court costs. As part of the plea agreement, Murphy submitted a $15,000 restitution check to the clerk of courts on Sept. 25. The money is to be given to the Lyft driver.
