A young BMX rider was taken to a local trauma center by TraumaHawk after an injury at Okeeheelee Park on Saturday. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the park at about 11:10 a.m.

Private medical staff at the event initially treated the rider. Fire rescue units issued a pediatric trauma alert, a designation for a person 16 or younger.

The USA Pumptrack Championships were held at the park that Saturday morning.
