Palm Beach County’s Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program will accept applications from noon Nov. 9 until 11:59 p.m. Nov. 27. The program offers eligible homeowners up to $100,000 for qualifying home repairs, with $4 million in State Housing Initiatives Partnership funds allocated by the county’s Department of Housing and Economic Development.
Funding may cover code violations or conditions that could become violations, hurricane protection, life or safety hazards, utility connections and accessibility improvements. The program is for extremely low-, very low- and low-income homeowners, with income limits set at 80% of area median income. For example, the limits are $71,950 for one person and $102,800 for a four-person household. Homes with unpermitted work may be ineligible.
Applicants must attend a virtual orientation before applying. After the application period closes, the county will select 50 applications through a random drawing.
