According to The Boca Raton Tribune, the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office has launched an online Amendment 3 Homestead Calculator at pbcpao.gov.
The tool lets property owners with a current homestead exemption search for their property and see an estimate of how the proposed constitutional amendment could affect their property taxes and non-school taxing authorities. The estimates use 2026 certified property values and millage rates.
Amendment 3 is set to appear on the Nov. 3, 2026 general election ballot and would need at least 60% voter approval. If approved, the measure would increase the homestead exemption for non-school taxes beginning in 2027. The calculator does not include a separate proposed change that would lower the annual assessment cap on some non-homestead properties from 10% to 5%.
The office said the calculator provides estimates only and is not an official tax calculation or guarantee of savings.
